the four horsemen (famine)

76x101cm / 30×40” acrylic on canvas, 2026

The four horsemen are typically interpreted as harbingers of the last judgment signalling end-of-times. The third horseman typically rides a black horse & carries a pair of scales that would have historically been used to weigh bread, symbolizing famine.
